He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Buford is survived by his mother Norma Jean (Teddy) Malone, sister Betty (Jake) Finkle, and step-father Tommie Bowman.
He is preceded in death by his father Buford Long and brother Steven Michael Bowman.
A private Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.
