Carl was the heart of our family – a man of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering dedication. He taught us the meaning of love, the value of hard work, the importance of kindness, and to always put our faith in Jesus. His laughter filled our home, his hands built our lives, and his wisdom guided us every step of the way.
Born in the Love’s Memorial community of Greene County, he devoted his entire life to farming the land he loved, raising registered black Angus cattle.
While he was not working on the family farm, Redland Farms, he worked at Central Tobacco Warehouses for over 30 years, was the longest serving director of Greene Country Farm Bureau, and served on the Andrew Johnson Bank Agriculture Advisory Committee.
He was a devoted Christian man and was a member of Hunt’s Chapel United Methodist Church. In the last several years, he attended Cedar Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church as long as his health permitted.
Survivors include his devoted wife and love of his life of 66 years Barbara Lauderdale Belcher; a daughter and special son-in-law: Rebecca and Rick Tipton; special grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Jordan and Ashley Tipton; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jake and Minnie Belcher, two brothers, and five sisters.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
