He was retired from Magnavox, Greene Valley Developmental Center and the Greene County School System.
Mr. Lunghofer was a member of Horse Creek Church of God.
He had served on many boards, was a long time member of the Greeneville Rescue Squad and was a National Guard veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years: Josephine Lunghofer; a daughter and son-in-law: Gypsy and Richard Robinson; son and daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Donita Lunghofer; daughter: Jennie Lunghofer; grandchildren: Ashley and Elvis Bradley, Bryan and Sarah Bowers; and great grandchildren: Kaley and Kaden Bradley.
He was the son of the late Frank and Effie Lunghofer and was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Newman and Billie Gregory.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel.
Rev. Bobby Morrison and Rev. Charles Linton will officiate.
Interment will be 2 pm Tuesday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1 pm Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Pallbearers will be Charles Davis, Tom Hubbard, Tim Mitchell, Brian Cutshall, Ken Hood, Donnie Bell, Chris Ricker and Marshall Cutshall.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class at Horse Creek Church of God.
Memorials may be made to the Horse Creek Church of God.
