

Mr. Harshberger served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 until 1967.
He retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of the Military, with 33 years of service as an engineer.
He was the son of the late Enoch and Vergie Harshberger and was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Patricia Harshberger.
Survivors include two brothers: Clifford Harshberger and Paul Harshberger, and a sister: Ruth Whitaker, all of Mount Airy, N.C.; and his special friends: Megan Gibson and Laura Patterson, both of Greeneville.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. Pastor Steven Aiken will officiate.
Family and friends will meet at 9:15 a.m. Monday to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for a 10 a.m. committal service. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be William Patterson, David Woods, Johnnie Jones, Bobby Ward, Ray Long and Rex Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Candi Overholt, Dr. Richard Pectol, Vaughn Whitson, Danny Qwynne, and Rex Johnson Jr.
