He was a retired truck driver and a U S Marine veteran. He was a member of Riverview Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Karen Powell; daughter: Evelyn Powell of Lakeland, FL; two granddaughters of Florida; three grandsons of Germany; five great grandchildren; two sisters: Marie Johnson, Arlene Morris both of Lakeland, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Robert and Mary Powell and was preceded in death by his first wife: Ruth Powell; a son: Ronald Powell; a sister: Sandra Campbell and a brother: Gene Powell.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
