Charlie Larsen

Charlie Bert Larsen, 84, of Greeneville, TN, died peacefully in his home on May 2nd, 2025. He was born in Moline, IL on July 25th, 1940, the son of the late Carl and Bessie Larsen. Charlie graduated from Moline High School, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and served his country with pride overseas. He married Nancy Lauritzson in 1966, and had 3 children: Chris (MaryJo), Kelli (David), Cory (Tracy). In 1973 he married Arlene Forler. Together they have 2 children, Danny (Randi) and Carl (Crista).

Charlie was well known for his military service to our country and his love of joking around with everyone he met. He endeared himself to many through his humor and fun nature. The family would like to especially thank Tennessee Cancer Specialists for their care and support for Charlie during his numerous years of fighting.

Charlie (“Mike”) is survived by his loving wife Arlene, his children, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and his sisters Joy Wright and Carlene Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters Edna Parker and Edith Velichkoff.

The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a service at 1pm on May 17, 2025, at 1305 Pisgah Rd, Greeneville TN 37743 followed by a Celebration of Life open house through 4pm.
