Chassie Ruth Rupert

She retired from Tusculum College.

Survivors include her husband of 51½ years: Gary Dale Rupert; sister and brother-in-law: Fredna and Bobby Cornwell of Greeneville; adopted God-daughter: Kim Carter and husband, Roger; special cousins and caregivers: J.C., Kitten, and Tanya Hensley of Tusculum; and several cousins.

She was the daughter of the late Rankin L. and Hazel Cornwell Collins and was preceded in death by a sister: Veatta Collins Richman.

The family will receive friends from 12-2pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home, preceding the funeral service.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lynn Neas officiating.

Entombment will follow in GreeneLawn Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Gregg Bowman, Ed Hawhee, Kendall Bowers, L.C. Bowers, Charles Shelton, and Sean Wheeler.

The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Steven Prince, the nursing staff at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, and to Nurse Sue McGaha.
