

Mrs. Johnson was for years the secretary to the Greene County Executive.
She was a member of Union Temple United Methodist Church and a board member of the Union Temple Cemetery.
She was also a member of the Union Temple Ruritan Club, which she served as treasurer for many years.
Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law: Virginia Cooter, and Dr. DiAnn and Ken Casteel, all of Greeneville; five grandchildren: Trisha Wilhoit, Travis Cooter, and Carrie Koppin, all of Greeneville; and Camille Berkley and Cheyenne Casteel, of Knoxville; eight great-grandchildren: Vanessa Berkley, Jackson Berkley, and Tucker Berkley, all of Knoxville, and Kenly Wilhoit, Shane Cooter, Mary Elizabeth Koppin, Ada Koppin, and Ty Wilhoit, all of Greeneville; two sisters: Jackie Cox and Nell Coleman of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Johnston was a daughter of the late W.R. and Elizabeth Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Wilmer Johnston; a brother: Howard Phillips; and a sister: Helen Dalton.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel, with interment in Union Temple Cemetery.
Pastor Bob Cardinal will officiate.
Her pallbearers are Travis Cooter, Cheyenne Casteel, Chris Wilhoit, Brett Koppin, Curtis Berkley, and Jerry Dalton.
