Clara attended the Lord’s House of Chuckey for as long as her health permitted.
She retired from Plus Mark and was a leader of Cub Scout Pack 298 for over 15 years.
Clara was known for her contagious smile and her loving, giving heart. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, and spoiling her grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Troy (Lisa) Taylor, Jason (Angie) Taylor, Jessie Morgan, and Linda Stiles; her brothers, William Burns, Jimmy Burns, Fred Burns, Bobby Burns, Harold Burns and Frankie Smith; grandchildren, Brandon Taylor, Hayleigh Taylor, Braylen Taylor, Justin Taylor, Mackenzie Laws, Holden Metcalf, Derek Riddle, and Raymond Lee Saylor; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special friends, Ken and Martha Thacker and Darla Loveless.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Montgomery; child, Jeffery Joines; her parents, William Otto Burns and Sarah Taylor; brothers, Donnie Smith and Larry Burns; sisters, Sharon Joines and Florabele Joines; and special friend, Eunice Shehan.
The family will receive friends 1-3pm and 5-7pm Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7pm in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ken Thacker and Rev. Randall Reece.
Interment will be at 10am Friday, October 9, 2026, at Horse Creek Church of God Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet 9am at the funeral home to go in procession to cemetery.
Pallbearers are Terry Broyles, Toney Hensley, Chase Murray, Teddy Partin, Justin Taylor, Roger Hensley, and Marc Boatright.
Honorary Pallbearers are Brady Castle and the men of the church.
