Dale E. Gardner

He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Gardner attended Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church for as long as his health permitted.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Rick and Miriam Shackleford; two grandchildren: Jessica McKay and Jada McKay; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Junior and Wanda Shackleford; sister-in-law: Ann Taylor; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

He was the son of the late Doyle and Nellie Gardner and was preceded in death by his wife: Mary E. Gardner; and a sister: Edythe Compton.

The family will receive friends 6-8pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following the visitation, the funeral service will be conducted at 8pm Thursday, November 21, 2013, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Paul Reagon and Rev. Mike Young officiating.

Interment will follow at 10am Friday at New Lebanon Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9am Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark Shackleford, Brian Shackleford, David Shackleford, Roger Britton, and Charles Britton.
