
He was disabled.
Mr. Bowlin was a member of Bethesda Community Church where he attended faithfully as long as his health permitted.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time with his friends.
Survivors include two daughters: Ivy Bowlin and Allison Metcalf; three sons: Michael Bowlin, Adam Bowlin, and Tony Bowlin; nine grandchildren; two sisters: Linda Denton of Morristown, Sherry Rice of Atlanta, GA; a nephew: Alan Price of Griffon, GA; a niece: Kelley West of Villa Rica, GA; special friends: Jim Fields, Charles Johnson, David Gilliam, Scott Humphreys, Don Geisler, Mary and John Bradshaw, Sr., and John F. Bradshaw, Jr.,and many other friends too numerous to mention.
He was the son of the late Herman and Nell Bowlin and was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Bowlin, Jr., a nephew, Eric Price.
Per his request, there will be no formal visitation or services.
The body will be interred at a later date at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery.
