

He was a welder.
Mr. Dunn attended Midway United Methodist Church.
He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Air Force, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He was a loving father, papaw, brother, uncle, and friend.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Kevin and Deb (whom he loved as though she were his own) Dunn of Nebo, North Carolina and Jeff and mary Dunn of Spindale, North Carolina; two daughters and one son-in-law: Ron (whom he called his other son) and Jeannie Jeffers ( with whom he made is home the last four years) of Midway, Tennessee and Pamela Stinson of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; grandchildren: Andrew and April Dunn of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, Cashmere, Brian, Elizabeth, and Jeffery Jr. Dunn of Spindale, North Carolina, Kimberly and Ryan Jeffers of Midway, and Johnathan and Justin Stinson of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; three sisters: Maurica Harrison of Palm Coast, Florida, Georgia Carter of Abingdon, Illinois, and Mary Clayton of West Point, Illinois; uncle: Jack Fader; several nieces and nephews; special friends: Don and Roxie Randolph, Jeff and Mary Ellen Johnson, Bill Morrison, Linda and C.F. Smith, Rev. Jerry Holt, and Bea Babb.
He was the son of the late Maurice and Dorothy Dunn of Illinois and was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years: Shirley Dunn.
The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Jerry Holt
officiating. Interment will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Johnson, Robert Jones, Andrew Dunn, Bill Brown, Bill Morrison, Gayle Jeffers and C.F. Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Phelps, Jordon Clark, Tommy Payne, Clay Dunaway of EMS, Dr. Steven Prince, Dr. Rodney Holliday, the CNA’s and nurses of 4-west at Laughlin, Paul Fruitiger, Amedisys Home Health and Hospice, and the men of Midway UMC.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
