Deborah Brooks

March 29, 1963 – November 1, 2026

Debbie Brooks age 63, of Mosheim, TN passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 29, 1963, she was the daughter of Edward Ray and Dorothy Marie Cox. She was a lifelong Greene County resident.

She married Mark Brooks, Sr. on March 30, 1985, and together they shared 41 years of marriage. Throughout their life together, they built a family rooted in love, faith, and devotion to one another.

A Life of Love and Service

Debbie devoted much of her life to caring for others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was marked by kindness, compassion, and service.

She spent over 25 years working at HUF North America. In her later years, she worked in childcare at Greene Country ESP where she cared for children and developed meaningful relationships with the families and coworkers she encountered each day.

Above all, she cherished her family.

Family

She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Brooks, Sr.; her children, Mark Brooks Jr (Chelsea), Cassie Brooks Hudson (Will) of Kingsport, and bonus daughter Kelly Brooks of Whitesburg. Her grandchildren, Mark Brooks, III (Trey), Talan Brooks, Jaelyn Brooks, and Todd and Emma Grace Hudson. Along with her siblings Danny Cox (Debi) and Diane Cox and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Marie Cox, and her younger brother David Cox.

Faith and Legacy

Debbie's life was marked by a heart for serving others. Through the ordinary, faithful acts of caring for her family, supporting her coworkers, and loving the children entrusted to her care, she made a lasting difference in the lives of many.

While her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in the steadfast love and faithfulness of God, whose character remains unchanged in every season of life.

Her life will be remembered with gratitude, her absence felt deeply, and her memory cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Celebration of Life and Service Arrangements

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brown Springs Baptist Family Life Center, where the family will receive friends and loved ones.

A service celebrating her life will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the same location.
