

He was a stockman at Big Lots for 9 years and was a lifelong farmer.
Mr. Black was a member of Mosheim Church of God.
“Dale” was a loving husband and father and would do anything for his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, animals, was an avid fisherman and loved to raise a garden each year. He had a love for playing the guitar, day or night, with anyone who wanted to play music, such as bluegrass, gospel or country music.
Survivors include his wife: Coralee Black; two sons: Ethan and Bentley Black, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law: Rosie and David Babb of Chuckey and Sherry and Wesley Holloway of the Flagbranch community; five grandchildren: Heather and Dustin Babb, Megan Holloway, Daniel Coggins and Adam Holloway; a sister and brother-in-law: Janice and Junior Jones of Greeneville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Lester and Diane Black of Chuckey, Eddie and Patricia Black of Greeneville;
two nephews: Jamie Jones and family, Shannon Black and family, all of Greeneville; special friends: Patty Black of Flagbranch, Homer Babb of Afton, Tommy Riley of Dade City, FL; and a special caregiver: Shelia Yokley.
He was the son of the late Frank Dolman and Nellie Vay Gray Black.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service, which will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Frankie Isley officiating.
Interment will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Babb, Wesley Holloway, Jamie Jones, Doug Babb, Shannron Mincey, Jerry Johnson, Michael Coyne, Cody Ayers and Troy Bowman.
Junior Jones and Tommy Riley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
