-When things got to rough at home I would run to Nesi's. I have so many good memories like pinning our dresses between our knees then going swimming in the spring house, working in the garden and tobacco fields, riding in the poop spreader to cut wood, singing together at church, the list goes on and on. We went our separate ways as we married and had kids but I never forgot how Nesi always looked out for me. I love you Nesi. RIP. Look for Mom up there and hug her for me please. 🙏

My favorite memory of Nesi is when she use to let me and my sister Sarah come over to her and Keith's old white farmhouse in Mosheim. I guess we were staying the night with her and poor Keith had went on to bed. Nesi says to me and Sarah "Let's sing!" I said "But Keith is asleep. Won't we wake him up?" She said "Oh he sleeps through EVERYTHING!" So we sang while she played the piano. She then got her rainbow vacuum out and blew up the air mattress we slept on that night. And she was right. Keith slept through it all. (At least I THINK he did! He didn't yell at us anyway) Nesi was always fun to be around and no matter where you saw Nesi she was just Nesi! She never tried to put on "aires" to try and impress anyone. She is also responsible for introducing me and my husband Mark (her cousin). I counted Nesi as one of my best friends way back then and I hate that she and I had lost contact over the years. She will be greatly missed and my prayers are with the family.

My Sister, my best friend! Some of my greatest memories were spent at Cades Cove with Nesie and her grandchildren! You are going to be missed by so many, Sis! Our conversations in the middle of the night! Your sweet talks with my children are going to be missed! You sure were the greatest sister I could ever have asked for! My prayers go to Keith, Amber and children and our dear Mother!
Rest In Peace baby girl
