He was a lineman for Jersey Central Power and Light.
Mr. Osborne attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
He was a member of Greeneville V.F.W. Post #1990 and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Candy and William Carr Sr. of Chuckey, and Zenna and Ken Roden of Jacksonville, Florida; four sons and two daughters-in-law: Donald Jr. and Leslie Osborne of Nashville, Tennessee, Chris and Mary Anne Osborne of Greentown, Pennsylvania, Dion Osborne and Curtis Osborne of Springhill, Florida; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister: Patricia Joppien of Mulberry, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Sidney and Flora Bell Cook Osborne and was preceded in death by his wife: Constance Osborne; and a sister: Harriette McMickle.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the graveside service at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Rev. Kristen Burkhart will officiate.
His pallbearers will be Vicki and Scott Brown, Kim and Chris Osborne, Ken Roden, and William Carr Jr.
The staffs of Durham Hensley Health and Rehabilitation Center, Life Care Center of Greeneville, Gosnell’s Music Store, and Amedisys Hospice will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
