He was disabled and a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church.
His family states, “He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved horseback riding and gardening.”
Donnie is survived by his very devoted mother and special friend: Charlene Edmonds; an aunt: Barbara Carrier of Greeneville;
special cousins: Billy Carrier, Cindy Metcalf, Vickie Dunker, Brittany Dunker, Cathie Nease, Crystal Raines, and D. J. Ward, all of Greenville; and his pets and “special buddies”: Jack, Whitey, and Tornado.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. C. Edmonds; his grandparents, Joe and Bertha Brown, and Leona Casteel.
The family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Bill Rimmer will officiate.
Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cross Anchor Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
The pallbearers are Billy Carrier, D. J. Ward, Chris Nease, Roger Brown, Rick Keller, David Carter, Danny Weems, and Junior Nease.
The honorary pallbearers are John Ratcliff, James Greer, Steve Goodwin, Daniel Shauan, Brad Dunker, Carl Metcalf, Steven Keller, John Bright, Donnie Porter, Mickey Starnes, Calvin Weems, Howard Lamb, Vernie Malone, Brian Raines, Dr. Luke Ellenburg Jr., Dr. Stephen Hopkins, Dr.Conchitina Crisostomo, Karen Gregg, 5th floor nurses and staff, and the staff of the Renal Unit, and the nurses of 2800 ICU, at Johnson City Medical Center, and the staff of Greeneville Dialysis Center.
