I have many special memories of my Aunt Dot playing the piano ..... “Yellow Bird” was one of my favorites. She was such a sweet loving soul and will be greatly missed by me and my family .

My sister, I'm sorry I didn't get to tell you how special you are and how much I love you. You must be a busy soul trying to greet all of our loved ones there. Tell them I love and miss them. Here is something for you :
The Irish have a saying, Dot, I'm repeating here today,
As long as you're remembered, you will never go away.
The place where you are resting is only earth and sod.
Your soul is soaring with eagles, landing safely home with God.

Rest easy, my sister. You have earned it. See you soon.
Love, Grace

Nana Dot (Mamaw/Bruce) lives on in our heart and memory because she shared such joy and kindness with the world. Her life made ours more rich because of the genuine love that she showed her family and friends. Her smile was precious and when she squeezed you with a hug her happiness would flow into you. She loved a baby and would give encouragement to a new momma that would soothe the soul. Words seem too simple to capture the colorful life of our precious Nana Dot, so we will continue to hold her legacy close to our hearts in hopes that we can share a piece of her beauty as we walk forward in this world.
We love you, Nana Dot!

I always remember Aunt Granny Dot coming to Powell to visit and she would sit on the porch and talk to my Granny (her sister) and would watch us swim. She loved that my brother and I called her Aunt Granny Dot. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

Dot was an amazing woman sweet and kind hearted.I loved talking with her about "The Valley" I worked there also years after she had but we still knew some of the same people. She was still a care giver at heart she would help some of the folks that needed a friend to listen to same story we all heard 10 times but she would smile and hold their hand. God bless her family no worries she is in Heaven.

Hello everyone ... our mom is a Christian, so she is whole and well again. She was happy and at peace, and passed over in her sleep; and we think it's "perfectly Dot" that she waited for Easter Sunday to do so! :-) Mom loved the children and adults she helped and cared for in many different places in Greeneville and Greene County. It was her passion. She never thought of her life's calling as a job. It was her love. She's known by hundreds as Ms. Dot. She's in a good place, but all of us here on Earth will miss her. Rest in peace, Mama.
