Dorothy Ilene Peters

She attended Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church as long as her health permitted and was a homemaker and a caregiver.

Dorothy is survived by one sister Wanda Ruth Horner of Pine Grove Community; six nieces and nephews and their families, Opal Dykes, Jean Dykes, Jack Dykes, Carolyn Bales, Bobby Peters and Janice Gass; also special friends, Nicki Gass, Shirley Jones, Pearl Caldwell and Darrell Caldwell.

She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Mamie Crawford Peters and was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, George and Ober Peters; four sisters, Grace Dykes, Virginia Gregg, Alice Helen Smelcer and Laura Peters.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 11 am on Friday in the chapel of Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with Mary Jane Farmer, CLP officiating.

Interment will follow in Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers are friends and family.
