

He was a former employee of Altrista Zinc and a member of Casi Full Gospel Church.
Douglas is survived by his wife: Ronda Dunbar Penley; daughter and fiancée: Amanda Penley Moore and Jason Parker of Asheville, North Carolina; mother: Selma Penley; brother and sister-in-law: Dallas and Kim Guinn Penley; mother-in-law and father-in-law: William and Brenda Dunbar; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Randy and Renee Dunbar and William and Carol Dunbar; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Susie and Adam Hensley of South Carolina; one niece: Brittany Hensley; three nephews: Travis Hensley, Brock Dunbar, and Cody Dunbar; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends: Junior Southerland, Steven Painter, Virgil Dunbar, Gordon Mathes, Sidney Green, LeAnna Johnston, Maxine Bowers, Connie and Mike Hughes, and John Crum; and his special pet: Pooh.
He was preceded in death by his father: Robert “Dickie” Penley; and his grandparents: Troy and Mildred Rogers and Jack and Sally Kate Hensley.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Amos Penley officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Liberty Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
His pallbearers are William Dunbar, Randy Dunbar, Steven Painter, Gordon Mathes, Sidney Green, Virgil Dunbar, Junior Southerland, and Jamie Hensley.
His cousins and members of Casi Full Gospel Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
