
She was a housewife, mother, and mentor.
Mrs. Lucas was a member of Union Temple United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the church Bible Study Group.
She was also a member of the Union Temple Community Club, Union Temple Ruritan Club, and a former member of the Union Temple Election Committee.
Survivors include a son: Ivan Lucas, Jr. of Chuckey and life friend Carmie Blakley; two daughters and one son-in-law: Pat Turnmire of Chuckey and Iva Jean and Tommy Campbell of Warrensburg; grandchildren: Walter Turnmire, Kaye Nesbit and spouse Anthony of New Bern, North Carolina, James Turnmire and spouse Cammie of Morristown, Mark Campbell and spouse Kristy of Knoxville, Alan Campbell and spouse Eva of Warrensburg, Jeannie Christian and spouse Jackie of Kingsport, and Natasha and Chris Blakley; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister: Helen Woolsey of the Lost Mountain Community; sister-in-law: Mary Holland of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Bertie and Maudie Bell Dunn Holland and was preceded in death by her husband: Ivan Lucas, Sr.; two sisters: Stella Neal and Grace Jones; and a brother: Ray Holland.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Richard Bowers will officiate.
Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Baileyton. It is requested that family and friends that would like to go in procession to the committal service meet at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Her pallbearers will be Chad Campbell, Jeff Campbell, Mark Campbell, Alan Campbell, Walter Turnmire, James Turnmire, Tyler Christian, and Brad Thornburg.
Jimmy Strong will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
