Edward “Big Ed” Willard Moore, 61, of Holly Creek Road, Greeneville, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016, at Holston Valley Medical Center, after an extended illness.
He was an active member and Elder of Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Ed loved the Lord and loved to go to church and hear the preached word. He was a light to all those he was around and strived to be a servant for the Lord. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife: Lisa Moore; one son: Dallas Moore; mother: Mildred Ziammarripa; sisters: Sue (Johnny) Roberts, Ann Dykes, Barbara (Mike) Young, Glenda (Roy) Roberts, Janet (Vernon) Johnson; brothers: Bill Moore, Don (Helen) Moore, Tony Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Moore; a brother-in-law, Dewayne Dykes; and a sister-in-law, Reba Moore.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 5-7 pm Wednesday at Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Lost Mountain Community) and at the home anytime.
The funeral service will be held at 7 pm Wednesday at the church with Rev. Jerry Scalf officiating.
Interment will be 11 am Thursday in the church cemetery.
