

He was the owner of Ken’s Motors for the past 42 years and the top salesman for Old Hickory Buildings during 2024-2025. He attended Riverview Seventh- Day Adventist Church where he served as a deacon as well as a Sabbath School superintendent and teacher. He was an avid fisherman, camper and enjoyed hiking as long as his health permitted.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years: Jacklin Horton; two sons: Rodney and wife Christy Spillman of Greeneville, D. J. and wife Sara Morrison of Talbott, TN; a daughter: Candida Spillman of Greeneville; a special mother-in-law: Polly Harrison; six granddaughters: Madison Spillman, Morgan Spillman, Sophie Morrison, Alexis Spillman, Kinsley Spillman, including a special granddaughter and husband, Samantha and Shane Cruz; two grandsons: Zach Gunter and William Morrison; one sister: JoAnne White; Best Buddie: Danny and wife Angie Nease and good friends Brandon Rogers and Terry Wykle; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a special pet: Luna
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ken and Inge Horton and a sister: Patricia Horton.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Greeneville Seventh-Day Adventist Church with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 pm. Pastor Juanfer Monsalve will officiate.
