

She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Melton was a member of Cedar Hill Presbyterian Church where she was the oldest member and had attended as long as her health permitted.
Those close to her knew her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved quilting and
working in her flowers.
Survivors include a daughter: Carolee Holt; two sons: David Melton and Ben Melton; nine grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a brother-in-law: Doyle “Frank” Melton; two sisters-in-law: Mary Melton and Fern Campbell.
She was the daughter of the late Dave and Virginia Day and was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roy Melton: one son, Norvan Day; three sisters, Lena Stout, Bess Lovegrove and Mary Day; one brother, Prescott Day.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Casey Nicholson and Rev. Claude Swatzell will officiate. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Day, Sammy Saulsbury, Carroll Babb, Gary Chapman, Billy Hawk, Dustin Cansler and Randy Nelson.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Laughlin Health Care Center.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
