Ethel L. Shelton

June 1, 1938 – March 28, 2019

Ethel L. Shelton passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 28, at her home. She was born June 1, 1938 in Greene County to the late Earn and Eveline Laws.

She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church since childhood

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters: Diane Hensley (Lowell T. Hensley), Karen Shelton, and Delora Hildenbrand (Randy Hildenbrand); grandchildren: Delina Hensley, Alicia Steiert (Nick Steiert) Justin Hildenbrand (Kelsey Hildenbrand), Chase Hildenbrand (Liz Hildenbrand), Chancelyn Shelton, Maylei Hildenbrand, Mia Hildenbrand, Emma Hildenbrand; great grandchildren: Frederick T. Steiert, Sara O. Steiert, Amelia Hildenbrand, Avery Hildenbrand, Kailyn Hildenbrand, Israel Hildenbrand; sisters: Alice Faye Collins and Mary Fann; sisters-in-law: Verlie Jean Laws, Hilda Shelton, and Glenn Ertzberger (Ray Ertzberger); a special little girl she loved as her grandbaby: Kinsley (Baby) Hyder; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Harvey R. Shelton; sisters: Leona Marshall, Ada Laws, Wanzie Laws; and brothers: Raymond (Bud) Laws and Bill Laws.

The family will receive friends 2-6 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow the visitation at 6 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tyler Rutherford officiating.

Interment will be Monday at 11 am in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 am to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her family and friends.
