He was the long-time owner of Devoti Paving.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Devoti was a member of the Greeneville Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his son and fiancée: Herbert Eugene Devoti Jr. and Nora Peterson; four step-daughters; grandchildren: Herbert Eugene “Trey” Devoti III, Chasity Devoti and fiancé Joshua, and several other grandchildren; brother: Jerry Devoti; a sister: Mary Foshie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years: Frances Devoti; parents: Lacy and Roxie Devoti; two brothers: Lacy Jr. and Michael Devoti; and one sister: Edith Ott.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eddie Malone officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in River Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Hensley, Donovan Wimberley, Eddie Sanchez, Blake and Bradley Lane, and Brandon Lawson.
