Evelyn Dewit

Evelyn Joyce DeWit, passed away at University of Tennessee Hospital on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in her 83rd year, cherished wife of John for 65 years. Member of First Presbyterian Church in Greeneville, TN. Dearly loved mother of Natalie and her husband Craig, Geoffrey and his wife Judy and Edward. Beloved Gram to grandchildren Ali (Ahmad), Eli, Kristen (Alex), Elizabeth (Jeremy), Michael, and Wesley. Dear great-grandmother to Owen, Samantha and Aubrey. Daughter of the late Norman and Mary Hilliard. Loved sister of Lilian and Jack Sharp, Frank Hilliard and Cathy Hesp predeceased.Survived by Ron and Carol Hilliard, and sister-in-law Rosemary Hilliard. Aunt to many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation will take place.

As per Evelyn’s request, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
