

Mrs. Fannie Richards Duggan passed from this life on Sunday, May 13, 2012. She was born on April 13, 1919 in Bluff City, Tennessee to the late Andrew and Nora Alford Richards. Most of her life was spent in Greeneville, Tennessee where she was raised by Sherman and Julie Jarrell following the death of her parents at an early age. She worked many years at Beaunit Sewing Company. After her retirement she continued her sewing talents and was a well-known seamstress for many in the area. She was a faithful Christian and an active member of Hardin’s Chapel United Methodist Church until her health kept her closer home at which time she started attending Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she remained active until her death.
Mrs. Duggan was preceded in death by her husband, Newt Duggan; her son, Bill Duggan; brothers, Johnny Richardson and Worley Buckles; and a sister, Alice Gardner Baker.
She is survived by several nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; great-great nieces; great-great nephews; a sister-in-law, Catherine Buckles; special friends: Teri Greene, Terry Bellamy, and Joyce Hyde; and a host of good friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews: Bernard Buckles, Eddie Buckles, Sammy Vance, Danny Cruff, Duane Buckles, Bobby Buckles, Glenn Roark and Robert Jeter. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Hardin’s Chapel United Methodist Church, her Sunday School Class at Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Terry Bellamy, Walt Elkins, Dan Duggar, and Jim Ball.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Prince, Dr. Rodney Holladay and all the staff on 4 West at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, Caris Hospice and all her friends who came to visit.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Kiser- Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Lively officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm prior to the service.
