Francson Truan "Mickey" Spradlin

Francson Truan “Mickey” Spradlin of the St. James Community passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 27, surrounded by his family. Mickey was born on January 22, 1942 in Greeneville. He was a long time supervisor at Huyck-Formex both in Greeneville and Raleigh, North Carolina, prior to its closure.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy Payne Spradlin; two daughters and a son-in-law: Trina Emory of Chuckey and Desiree and Marty Johnson; son: Cameron Spradlin; half-brother: Brook Robin Spradlin, all of Greeneville; grandchildren: Sarah Emory of Richmond, Virginia, Ryan Spradlin, Ethan and Mia Kate Spradlin, all of Greeneville.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Buddy Spradlin and Hester Thrasher; a brother, PJ Spradlin; his grandson: Trevor Emory; and a son-in-law: Michael Emory.

The family expresses a special thanks to Kim Baria and Tina Reed of Suncrest Home Health and Hospice and Margeaux Clements and the staff of Takoma Medical Associates.

The interment will be at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for immediate family on Saturday at 4:00 pm. Danny Ricker will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holston UM Home in his memory.
