General Odean Goins Sr.

He loved sports and played basketball, baseball, fast pitch softball and golf in his younger days. He also loved to watch NASCAR when Dale Earnhardt was still driving, not so much after.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Burton(Rick) of Louisville, KY, and his son, Deannie Goins of Cedar Creek. Grandchildren Cody Goins(Tanya), Macey Potts(Travis), Zachary Burton(Sierra). Great Grand children Lola, Everlee, Easton and Ridlee. Sister Ann Radar, Brother Rommie Goins(Nancy), sister in law Sheila Goins Shipley and Brother Kent Goins(Jaymie). Several nieces and nephews.

Deceased relatives include his mother Sallie Goins and Father JD Goins, Sister Marlene Wilhoit, brother in laws, Bob Foreman and Curtis Wilhoit, Sisters Priscilla Taylor and Lucinda Davis, brother in law John R. Davis, brother in law Jack Radar, Brother Dexter Goins, Nephews Lyle Davis and Keith Radar and Niece Natisha Goins.

He worked most of his life and retired from Greeneville Light and Power, there he made many life long friends. He attended Flag Branch Church. He never forgot his special friends Willis Bowers, Hoot Bowers, Sharon Woods and Gerald Waddell(Lightnin).

Funeral services will be held at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home on Sunday at 7pm. Visitation is Sunday 1-3pm & 5-7pm. Burial will be a Cedar Creek Cemetery on Monday at 11am.

Pallbearers are Cody Goins, Zachary Burton, Travis Potts, Chris Bailey, Jeremy Southerland, Bucky Ayers, Chad Goins, Preston Bailey, Matthew and Clinton Jones.
