

When you look in the dictionary under neighbor, there is a picture of George. He retired from American Enka/BASF after 43 years of dedicated service. George played just as hard as he worked. NASCAR and the racing community have lost their biggest fan.
Mr. Culberson was a member of Mohawk Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Geraldine Hurley Culberson; his children: Susan Wiley of Knoxville, TN; Jerry and Nadine Culberson of Abingdon, VA; Annette and Mike Watts of Jacksonville, AL. Grandchildren: Christin Wiley, Thomas Wiley, and Amy Wilson. Four sisters and brothers-in-law: Jessie and Frank Lipoma, Bonnie and Sam Hunt, Trula and Dobbin Flemming all of Kingsport, Edna and Wayne Cardin of Riceville, TN; one sister-in-law Mary Culberson of Etowah, TN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Bob and Marilda Hurley of Greeneville, Sam and Betty Hurley, and Merrill and Maxine Harrison all of Mohawk, TN; several nieces and nephews Special friends: J. D. and Shirley Ashley, John Anderegg, Betty Hensley and Eileen Carver of Englewood, TN.
George was the son of the late John and Sarah Culberson of Englewood, TN.
The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Johnny Shipley, will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Family and friends will meet at 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home to travel to Hamblen Memory Gardens, Morristown, TN, for the 10:00 a.m. committal service.
Friends of the family will be pallbearers.
