George Robert Lane

He was a farmer and an antique dealer.

Mr. Lane was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son: Robert Lane; granddaughter: Crystal Johnson; brother and sister-in-law: Hal and Linda Lane; two sisters: special sister Phyllis Johnson and Shirley Church; two special nieces: Tammy Greene and Celena Carter; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and several special friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Peggy Eldridge; parents: Henry and Callie Lane; brother: Herbert Lane; and a sister: Christine Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday at Jackson’s Chapel Church with Rev. Eddie Malone and Rev. Buster Shelton officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1pm Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the church.

Interment will follow in Jackson’s Chapel Cemetery.

His family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
