Mr. Snipes attended St. Josephs Chapel Church.
Survivors include his wife: Deloris “Faye” Snipes; two daughters and sons-in-law: Theresa and Ray Tullock; Sharon and Danny Cox; a son and daughter-in-law: Junior and Linda Snipes; three stepchildren and spouses: Lois and RabiЭ Souibgui, Bernice and Terry Pridemore, and Bruce Chandler
special granddaughter-in-law: Monica Snipes; grandsons: S. R. Tullock, Todd Tullock, Anthony Tullock and wife, Carla; David Snipes and wife, Monica; Mark Snipes and wife, Judy Mae; Daniel Snipes, Craig Cox and wife, Beth; and Kenny Cox and wife, Shelly; a granddaughter: Sherry Cutshall; step granddaughters: Brooklynn Loptien, Kristina Cansler
18 great grandchildren; a brother: Tony “Bill” Snipes; sister-in-law: Sophie Copp; brother-in-law: Clay Hensley; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; his “special buddy”, his dog, Tanner.
He was the son of the late George and May Lamons Snipes and was preceded in death by a daughter, Ella Louise Snipes; a sister, Berta Smith; a brother, Rufus Snipes.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, in the Kiser Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Buster Shelton, Rev. Roger Ealey, and Rev. Marvin Egan
officiating. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Snipes, Mark Snipes, Daniel Snipes, Todd Tullock, Anthony Tullock, S. R. Tullock, Kenny Cox, and Craig Cox.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Conduff, Keith Dietzman, and Jack Wampler.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. The Greeneville Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
