He was a machinist and tool and die maker at Superior Metal Products.
He is survived by his wife: Brenda Joann Mathes; one son: Brandon Thomas Mathes of South Central; one daughter: Breanna Nichole Mathes of South Central; one sister: Sheila Penley and brother-in-law Benny of South Central; one niece: Sheena Archer of South Central; one great nephew: Gunner Archer and several other special friends and family members.
He was the son of the late Marvin and Lavana Mathes.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life following at 4:00 pm. Michael Brown will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Steven Painter, Allen Painter, Johnny Painter, Robert Holt, Kevin Thompson, Danny Mathes and all of his co-workers in the machine shop at Superior Metal.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
