

He was a farmer and a mechanic.
Mr. Wheeler attended Community Baptist Church.
He was a loving father and grandfather who loved racing and was a well known race car mechanic.
He was loved by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed.
Mr. Wheeler is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Dianne and Charles Hurst, Jr.; son: Toney Wheeler; three grandchildren: Karsey Hurst, Taran Hurst, Christine (Burch) “Peanut” Wheeler; sister: Jeannetta Mae Couch; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends: Megan Cutshaw, Nona Mae White, and Jerry Travis.
He was the son of the late James Logan and Pearl Wheeler and was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years: Willa Dean Shelton Wheeler; his second wife: Oma Monroe Wheeler; sisters: Ruth Ramsey, Hazel McCravey, and Betty Couch; and brother: Ray, Glenn, Homer and Lloyd Wheeler.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Community Baptist Church in Bulls Gap.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Community Baptist Church. Pastor Greg Douthat will officiate.
Interment will follow at Willoughby Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Manis, Alfred Thacker, Kim Cannon, Ricky Moore, Terry “Tweed” Couch, and Ronnie Wheeler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Jones, John Ramsey, Bob Ramsey, Jim Ramsey, Chad Dalton, Phil Oler, Tommy Oler, Danny Hayes, Chuck Terry, Chuck Hurst, Charles Ramsey, and John Couch.
