

Harold W. Smith, lovingly known as “Smitty,” passed away at the age of 86.
Born in Oswego, New York, Harold spent much of his life in New York before relocating to Tennessee in 2001. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent his career at Obendorfer’s Foundry in Syracuse, New York, where he worked until his retirement. Harold also proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard Reserve in Oswego, New York.
Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Smith, and his daughter, Lorie Smith. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles J. Smith, and his daughter, Ann M. Lower.
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Ashley L. Woodby, Jessica M. Fellers, David Fellows, Sarah Black, and Bradley Lower, along with several great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Harold was preceded in death by all of his siblings.
Known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and dedication to family, Harold touched the lives of many throughout his years. He will be remembered for the love he shared with those closest to him and the lasting impact he made on his family and friends.
His memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
