

He was a production manager and engineer at Magnavox and co-owner of Jefferson City Cabinet Co. and Five Rivers.
He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
During his high school years at Greeneville High, he had many achievements as managers of sports and was valedictorian for the class of 1957. He went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering and then a Masters Degree in Industrial Management from University of Tennessee. He was a die-hard UT fan and participated in many activities and sports throughout his tenure at UT. His hobbies included tennis, racquetball and golf at Link Hills Country Club, as well as spending quality time with his great grandson, Samual Wade.
Mr. Havely is survived by a daughter: Melissa Havely-Kimery; granddaughter: Jessica Lee Havely and fiancé Jacob S. Phillips; great grandson: Samual Wade Phillips; extended family members: Joshua Maples and Emily Pray; uncle and wife: Mr. and Mrs. Q.N. Styke of Owensboro, Kentucky; special friends: Waunetta Whetsel and Barbara Norton; and many friends, including: the members of “The Boroonies Breakfast Club”.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years: Nancy Gross Havely and his parents: Edward and Georgia Styke Havely.
The family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. It is requested that family and friends meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the committal service.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
