Harvey Lee Freshour

He retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center after 30 years of service.

He attended Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church.

He was a founding member of Cedar Creek Fire Department. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of VFW Post #1990.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years: Muriel Freshour; daughter: Mary Hayes of Cedar Creek Community; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Wesley and Heather Hayes of Knoxville and Paul Hayes of Hartford, Tennessee; grandchildren: Christopher Freshour, Patience Leonard and spouse, Matthew McKeever, Zachary Hayes, Gabriel Hayes, Duncan Hayes, Haley Riddle, Noah Hayes, Annie Hayes, Emma Riddle, Ella Hayes; great grandson: Jayden Freshour; brother and sister-in-law: Lucas and Donna Freshour of Greeneville; sister and brother-in-law: Mary Jane and Bruno Keparutis of Greeneville; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law: Peggy McCamey of Greeneville; and special friends: Debbie Ledford, Beryl Freshour, Gaelle Voltaire, Sabrina New, Louise Landers, and Olivia Graham.

He was the son of the late Samuel Lucas and Dulcie Lamb Freshour and was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years: Bessie Freshour; son: Joseph Freshour; granddaughter: Jennifer Freshour; three sisters: Lucille Tweed, Myrul Davis, and JoAnn Shipley; and four brothers: Stanley, Ottis, Charles, and F. D. Freshour.

The family will receive friends from 4pm-7pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00am Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Harrell Cobb and Marci Cobb officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Jayden Freshour, Zachary Hayes, Duncan Hayes, Paul Landers, John Freshour, and Mark Freshour.

Honorary pallbearers are Skip Ledford, T.J. Freshour, and Beth Graham.
