Howard George Bailey

He retired from the U.S. Army Reserve 844th/733rd Greeneville Battalion and retired as a Data Processing Manager for Unaka Company.

Mr. Bailey was a faithful member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church in the South Central community as long as his health permitted.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years: Judy Hankins Bailey; a son and daughter-in-law: Robert Gregory “Greg” Bailey and wife, Liz, of Enterprise, Alabama; grandsons: Patrick and wife, Katie, of Jacksonville, Florida, Landon of Enterprise, Alabama; a brother and sister-in-law: Drew and Wilma Bailey of the South Central community; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Nina H. Fillers, Joyce H. Thacker, Sue Hankins, Mary and Jerry Lane; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late Bobby and Blanche Rouse Bailey of the South Central community and was preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Sarah H. Lane; and brothers-in-law: John W. Hankins and Raymond Fillers.

The family will receive friends 3-5 pm Sunday at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 5 pm Sunday at Liberty FWB Church with

Rev. John Buchanan officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Compton, Jordon Chase, Randy Pierce, John H. Hankins, Shane Brown, Skylar

Fillers, Brad Thacker and Josh Bailey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Bailey and Stacey Bailey.
