She was a bookkeeper and homemaker.
Mrs. Kirk was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was involved in numerous church organizations. She was also a member of the Greeneville Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Survivors are Mike and Melissa Kelley and Laraine and Kidwell King and family, all of Greeneville, Larry and Leslie Kelley and family of Morristown, Steve and Jamie Kelley and family of Greeneville, Mike Hamm of Jonesborough, Caroline and J.J. Johnson and family of North Carolina, Carolyn Rupert of Greeneville; and numerous Kelley and Bird cousins as well as numerous Kirk nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Freda Bird Kelley and was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Kirk; an infant son, Herbert James; brothers and sisters-in-law: Herbert and Tillie Kelley, R. B. and Wilma Kelley, and Ezra and Johnny Kelley; and a niece, Brenda Kelley Hamm.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Pallbearers will be Mike Kelley, Kidwell King, Steve Kelley, Mike Hamm, Connor Kelley, and Larry Kelley.
Honorary pallbearers are the nurses and staff of Laughlin Health Care Center, the staff of Morning Pointe of Greeneville, Roby Adult Center Painting Class, and her many friends at Asbury UM Church.
