

She was a housewife.
Mrs. Hardin was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Mosheim.
Irma was a very gifted and talented lady and shared her love of music, arts and crafts, family, and friends for 98 years. Those who knew her would describe her as a unique treasure. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Laughlin Healthcare Center and several special friends who gave loving attention to her needs over the past few years.
Survivors include her granddaughter: Allana Hamilton of Hiltons, Virginia; grandson: Joe Hardin of Mosheim; daughter-in-law: Florence Hardin Brooks; sister: Emily Swecker; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Carter of Mosheim; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was the daughter of the late Bart and Nora Jeffers Carter and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hardin; son: Byron Hardin; and brother: Norman Carter.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Doug Jennings will officiate.
Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mosheim. It is requested that family and friends meet at 9:45 a.m. Friday at the cemetery for the committal service.
Her honorary pallbearers will be Gary Carter, Sean Carter, Alan Carter, Aaron Carter, Bobby Patrick, Johnny Ford, Barry Ford, Steve Swecker, and friends and neighbors of the Mt. Carmel Community.
