

He was a member of Love’s Memorial United Methodist Church.
He retired from Sprint Phone Company, where he was employed for many years. He served in the National Guard.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, but above all, loved his Heavenly Father.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years: Linda Warren Easterly; daughter: Karen Easterly, who became his caregiver the past weeks; granddaughter: Ashley DeWitt (husband, Chris DeWitt), whom he loved and raised as his daughter; grandson: Justin Tweed, whom he thought of as a son, loving to watch him play baseball; brother and sister-in-law: Jimmy and Cheryl Easterly; sister-in-law: Pat Easterly; brother-in-law and wife: Don and Brenda Warren; special friend: Kori Ingle, who called him “Papaw”; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Willie Ethel Easterly, and one brother, Billy Charles Easterly.
The family will receive friends from 4pm-6pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dan Palmer and Rev. Sam Smith officiating.
Interment will be at 1:00pm Friday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 12:00pm Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Easterly, Andy Easterly, Brad Easterly, D. E. Warren, George Miller, Jason Tweed, Gary Holt, and Marty Ottinger.
Honorary pallbearers are neighbors and friends of the Poplar Springs Community and past employees of Sprint.
