James "J.J." Ewing Jordan

He was a farmer and retired from Greene Valley Development Center.

He was a member of Stone Dam United Methodist Church and attended Mt. Camel United Methodist Church as long as his health permitted.

Survivors include a sister: Mary Louise Jordan Maxwell; niece: Mary Belle Maxwell; a nephew: Roy Albert Maxwell and wife, Vickie Lynn; two great nieces: Maria Ann and Emily Rose Maxwell; and a very special lady friend: Shirley Cutshall.

He was the son of the late Roy David and Nora Bell Ruble Jordan and was preceded in death by an infant brother, Roy David Jordan, Jr.

The family will receive friends 1-3 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 3 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rance Edwards and Rev. Lynn Neas officiating.

Interment will follow in Stone Dam Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Buck Steele, Roy Maxwell, Bill Cutshall, Kenny Cutshall, Daniel Ridlen, and Dakota Steele.

Andy Cutshall, Wayne Cutshall, and Homer Ball will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family wished to express a special thanks to the staff of Durham Hensley Health and Rehabilitation for their dedicated care and compassion.
