

He had been a logger for 32 years and had previously been a foreman with Teter Casting in Dekalb, Illinois.
Mr. Bailey was a member of Community Fellowship Church.
“He was born in Shelton Laurel, North Carolina, the son of the late Gilbert and Edna Bailey. As a member of the Nolichuckey C B Club, he was an avid C B operator. He had a love for fishing and his youngest grandson, Noah, is following in his “fishing footsteps”. He was a wonderful storyteller. He always had a joke, smile, and loved everyone he knew.”
Survivors include his loving wife: Dollie June Bailey; a daughter: Cindy Lucille Bailey; a son and daughter-in-law: Kelly Ray and Kimberly Dawn Fillers; grandsons: Nathaniel Ray Fillers, William Michael Fillers, Nicholas Aaron Fillers, and Noah Alexander Fillers; a brother and sister-in-law: Paul and Janice Bailey; a sister: Roxie Bailey; sister-in-law: Joyce Bailey; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and very special friends: Carroll Gregg, Larry Hicks, and Richard Vaughn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buford Bailey.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Hubert Metcalf and Rev. David Tweed will officiate. Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Fillers, Michael Fillers, Nathaniel Fillers, Nicholas Fillers, Trevor Weir, Shawn Neas, and a special
pallbearer: Noah Fillers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the C. B. Buddies he loved so much.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home.
