

He was a member as well as the founder of Eastside Baptist Church.
Dr. Mullendore founded Eastside Baptist Church in 1983, where he served as pastor until 1996. After which he became the founder and director of Beacon International Baptist Mission. During his time as director, he served as a full-time missionary in the country of Macedonia where he and his wife, Christine, opened the country to world-wide missions. During his years of ministry, several young men were called into full-time Christian service, where they continue to labor and influence others both here and around the world.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Christine Russell Mullendore; a son and daughter-in-law: Shannon and Barbie Mullendore of Greeneville; two daughters and sons-in-law: Angie and Jason Wiley of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Brandie and Adam Crabtree of Queens, New York; seven grandchildren: Shayden and Doug Mullendore, Bree and Caleb Wiley, and Emily, Adalyn, and Abigail Crabtree; mother-in-law: Ruth Russell; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Judy and Ray Whitt of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Janice and Bill Paschke of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law: Brenda Johnson of Greeneville; two brothers-in-law: Kay Russell and wife, Gail, of Gray, Tennessee, and Glendon Russell of Greeneville; special friends: Lynn and Debbie Pitt of Greeneville; and his special pet, “Bucky”.
He was the son of the late Jim and Muriel Mullendore and was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Glen “Buck” Russell.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home and 12pm-1:30pm Tuesday at Eastside Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Eastside Baptist Church with Pastor David Fox and Pastor Allen Black officiating.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Mullendore, Adam Crabtree, Caleb Wiley, Bill Wiley, Stanley Miller, Ron Cansler, Michael Westmoreland, Chris Murray, Finley Cutshaw, Tracey Jones, and Jason Wiley.
Honorary pallbearers are the men of Eastside Baptist Church and Beacon International Mission Council members and missionaries.
