
She was a homemaker and attended First Church of God as long as her health permitted.
She was born April 2, 1928 in Mitchell County, North Carolina, the third child to the late John Henry and Rose Masters Tipton.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Jerry Knight of Greeneville and Brenda and Louis Klepper of the Ottway community; four grandchildren: Alison Klepper and Sara Klepper of the Ottway community and Eric Knight and wife, Chastity and Sean Knight of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren: Olivia Klepper, and Jacob, Ethan and Micah Knight; one sister: Betty Breeden; three brothers and a sister-in-law: Austin and Juanita Tipton, Roger Tipton, Maurice Tipton; sisters-in-law: Mary Presley, Adeline Ervin and Buenous Ervin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ervin was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Fain Ervin; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jay and Doris Tipton, LeRoy and Louise Tipton; brothers-in-law: Fletcher Breeden, Jack Ervin, Paul Ervin, Brownie Ervin, E. R. Presley and Cody Ervin; and a sister-in-law: Cleo Ervin.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral Home Chapel. Pastro Gerald Rudd and Pastor Stephen Aiken will officiate.
Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery.
Her pallbearers will be Jackie Ervin, Charles Ervin, LeRoy Tipton, Jr., Tommy Tipton, Butch Breeden and John Breeden.
