

He had been a construction worker and was of the non-denominational tradition of faith.
He was an avid rabbit hunter, trout fisherman, and Atlanta Braves fan.
Mr. Gilland is survived by his children and spouses: Patty and Paul Hensley of Chuckey, Larry Gilland and fiancé Robin Massey, Dewey Gilland, and Joan Bowman, all of Greeneville; step children and spouses: Ronnie and Glenna Shelton of Greeneville and Vickie Aubry of Afton; grandchildren: Amy Kesterson of Afton, Jamie Gilland, Justin Gilland and fiancé Whitney Phillips, and Zoe Bowman, all of Greeneville; step grandchildren: Lisa Aubry of Columbus, New Jersey, Ronnie Shelton Jr. and Scottie Shelton of Greeneville; numerous great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Charlie and Billie Gilland of Greeneville and Tyson and Jeanetta Gilland of Kentucky; sister: Lowdusky Marshall of Greeneville; sister-in-law: Dorothy Gilland of Greeneville; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friends: Angie Gilland, Pete Luttrell, Diane Hensley, Maynard Mysinger, and Jean Jones of Greeneville.
He was a son of the late Wesley and Emma Gentry Gilland and was preceded in death by his wife: Wanda Shipley Gilland; and three brothers: Mavile Gilland, Jacob Gilland, and Robert Gilland.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. Monday June 20, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ralph Hensley and Rev. Lynn Mercer officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. It is requested that family and friends meet by 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the committal service.
His pallbearers are Justin Gilland, Tim Marshall, Rex Connor, David Shipley, Charles Shipley, and Mikey Gilland.
