

She was a former Formex Credit Union secretary and the former owner and operator of Joe’s Lawn Mower Shop.
Mrs. Humphreys was a member of New Haven Church.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: Steve and Minnie Bell Bird of Greeneville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Wanda and Bobby Wilhoit of Greeneville, Helen and Clyde Jones of Knoxville, and Mary June Broyles of Greeneville; four sisters-in-law: Reba Bird, Dorothy Bird, Joyce Bird, and Beulah Bird of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the later Willis and Della Bird and was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Bob Humphreys; a son: James Newland Humphreys; a sister and brother-in-law: Maxine and Guy Cooter; and five brothers and a sister-in-law: Sam and Luster Bird, Alonzo Bird, Doyle Bird, Fred Bird, and David Bird.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Friday at New Haven Church.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8pm Friday at the church with Rev. Keith Williams officiating.
Interment will be at 11 am Saturday at River Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 10am Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Bird, Eugene Wilhoit, Randal Wilhoit, Bobby Bird, Doyle Bird, and Jackie Bird.
Honorary pallbearers are family and friends and the congregation of New Haven Church.
