

He was retired from VA Hospital, Mountain Home, Tenn. and was former owner of Greeneville Antique Market.
Mr. Beckett was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son: Brian P. Beckett of Limestone; daughter-in-law: Cindy Beckett of Greeneville; three grandchildren: Michael Beckett and wife, Cheryl, of Elmhurst, Ill.; Katie Gilbert and husband, Justin, of Parrottsville; Josh Beckett of Greeneville; step grandson : Michael Woods; step granddaughter: Jenny Woods, both of Greeneville; five great grandchildren: Nora Beckett, Nate Beckett, Lillian Gilbert, Eli Gilbert and Hannah Tolley; two special friends and caregivers: Pat Parker and Angie Cutshaw.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hashe Beckett; one son, John M. Beckett; a granddaughter, Dorothy Beckett; brother, Bob Beckett; and sister, Polly Sells.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Dan Donaldson officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church Friday morning for the funeral service.
Interment will follow at Stone Dam Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his family and friends.
