

He was a farmer and dental lab tech and attended Cedar Creek Church of God as long as his health permitted. He was a member of Beersheba Lodge, Shriners, and the National Rifle Association. He was also the last charter member of the Greene County Angus Association.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to everyone. He loved his John Deere tractors, his cattle and taking his family out to eat.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann Birdwell; children: Johnene Birdwell Spradlin (Aaron Knop), Wesley and Chasity Birdwell and Patrick and Brandy Birdwell; grandchildren: Ethan Spradlin, Dorie Dietz, Hayden Birdwell, Lily Burke, Mia Spradlin, Samantha Birdwell, Hayden Love, Brooklyn Hensley (Trevor); Aubrey (Jack) Dodds and Brandon Knop; great grandchildren: Oaklyn Hensley and Wrenley Hensley; sister: Lois Powers; brothers: Jay (Ann) Birdwell and Luke Birdwell; sister and brother-in-law: Lynda and Haskell Bowman; sister-in-law: Jean Birdwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Gladys Birdwell; brother: Leo Birdwell; sister-in-law: Rosiland Birdwell; father and mother-in-law: Roman and Dorothy Lowe.
The family will receive friends from 12 -2 pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Terry Franklin officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Charles Lee Bowman, Hayden Birdwell, Brandon Knop, Ethan Spradlin, Brent Ricker, Trevor Hensley, Hayden Love, Jermain Bowers and Eric “Bubba” Rader.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Brooklyn Hensley, Samantha Birdwell, Mia Spradlin, Dorie Dietz, Aubrey Knop, Lily Burke, Bryan Susong and Haskell Bowman.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
